Read MoreThe Foundation of Handicapped Development (FHD) is located at Uttam Nagar, New Delhi. It is a non- government organization registered under the Trust Act 1860. It is established in June, 2009 by Mr. Brijraj Singh who is 85% disabled by birth then also he is facilitating PWDs by his activities. FHD is specially working for persons with various disabilities i.e. Orthopedic, Hearing & Speech and visually impaired. FHD provides livelihood opportunities for persons with disabilities and also provides them vocational study, self reliant work and Musical Instrumental training at free of cost.
FHDs main aim to promote economic independence and rehabilitation of persons with different ability through enhancing physical and functional competencies and skill development. FHD wants to generate awareness of PWDs regarding their rights and to create opportunities aimed at enhancing their economic life.
In the since 2009 years FHD has worked for the many PWDs by helping them to start their own business, appoint them in different companies as they are not depend on others. Also, FHDs distributed around 65 tricycles to the handicaps. It is also providing the living area to blinds with meals and other facilities at free of cost.
FHDs main mission is to identify the persons with disabilities at an early stage and work with them closely in securing their livelihood.
